“I think it's really easy (watching the media that's on aged care at the moment) to look at things from a negative angle. What we see being in the innovation space in aged care, which is what innovAGEING highlights, is there's some really, really exciting things happening. So what's next for us is just to get out there and work with like-minded people, organisations that are ready to do things differently and help make peoples' lives better. “
The team at ExSitu are very proud to be amongst the finalists in innovAGEING’s National Award for the development of business models through innovation. This initiative enables the industry to be more consumer-centric in its service delivery.
ExSitu are based at iAccelerate at the UOW Innovation campus in North Wollongong and was founded by two nurses, April Creed and Rebecca Glover. We combined our experience with passion and created a web-based app to help individuals communicate their core values in a way that can be understood and acted upon in care settings. “It is designed to care for a person holistically, not just in terms of their medical and clinical requirements but also taking account of their values and beliefs, to deliver a tailored customer-centred experience” April says.
